Why We Built This Site
North Carolina court records do not sit in a county-government records office. In Graham County, the Clerk of Superior Court maintains the local court files and dockets for the county’s state courts. Superior Court and District Court serve different case types, while the North Carolina eCourts Portal is the state’s public search route for participating public case information. The Clerk remains the source for official and certified copies.
The purpose here is practical: distinguish an online Case Summary or Register of Actions from the court file, point to the official calendar and Portal tools, and identify the Graham County Clerk when a search result is not enough. Court information can have access limits, so an absent Portal result is not proof that no court record exists.
What You Will Find Here
The site organizes its reference material around the official Graham County court channels most often needed for public case information.
- Docket guides: ways to read criminal dockets and civil dockets in Graham County
- Court dates and settings: how to use the court calendar and confirm a hearing setting through official channels
- Case lookups: a route for a case search by party name or case number in the North Carolina eCourts Portal
- Record requests: information on court records, public inspection, and requests to the Clerk of Superior Court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference resource. It has no affiliation with a North Carolina court, the Graham County Clerk of Superior Court, or any government agency. Its limits are clear:
- It cannot retrieve an official case file or Case Summary for a particular person
- It cannot change, continue, reset, or schedule a hearing
- It cannot seal, expunge, amend, or remove a court record
- It cannot issue a certified copy of a docket, order, or other court document
- It cannot give legal advice or interpret the effect of a particular case
- It cannot guarantee that an online result, fee, phone number, or setting is current
Only the Clerk of Superior Court or the court that maintains the file can supply an official or certified court record. Confirm any important information with that originating court or clerk.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes supplied by third-party providers. Those providers operate their own services, establish their own prices, and control the information returned by their tools. A paid signup that follows use of one of those tools may generate a referral fee. That arrangement does not make a third-party result an official Graham County court record.
